What kind of a parent are you?

Think about which roles you and your other primary caregivers have in raising your child(ren).

Are you in your role because you are working with your strengths?  Are you happy with your role?  Or do you feel you have to be in a role to compensate for other caregivers?

This is an opportunity to re-evaluate your parenting roles.  Talk to each other and make sure you both work with your strength as a parent and also have an opportunity to do things outside your comfort zone.  Many parents feel that they have to be the limit setter because the other parent/ caregiver is  always the playmate.  Ask your co-parent to take on some of the limit setting and find ways that you, too, can be the playmate.
